We truly believe in this event, so jumped at the chance to partner with Lashings and get more involved this year.
Plus, we now have the perfect opportunity to raise funds for our charity partners MYTIME, who do some amazing work with young carers across the country. We absolutely cannot wait!”
Fundraising
As Matthew mentioned, we will be fundraising for Dorset-based charity MYTIME Young Carers on the day, hoping to raise as much as we can for what is an incredible cause.
MYTIME aim to support and ‘level the playground’ for young carers across the country, who typically face more challenges and hardship than most young people.
A young carer is a child between the age of 5 and 18 who provides care for another person of any age, such as their parent, brother, sister, or grandparent. Recent figures suggest 1 in 12 children are young carers.
To combat the challenges they face, MYTIME offer a series of programmes to improve school support, assist with further education and employment, and help young carers make valuable memories.
Frettens have supported MYTIME since 2022, through events, volunteering, fundraising and organised walks. As part of our partnership with Frettens, they suggested we too get involved with MYTIME, and we can’t wait to help them in any way we can in June.
