What. A. Summer.

Another Lashings World XI cricket tour has officially come to an end and if there was ever a day that summed up exactly what Lashings is all about, our final fixture of 2026 did just that. Great cricket. Incredible people. Big personalities. Packed hospitality. Community. Fundraising. And above all, using the power of sport to make a genuine difference.

Our final cricket day of the 2026 season saw the Lashings World XI head to Guildford for The Big Buzz 26, a very special day in support of the Bee-lieve Foundation.

Cricket that gives back

Throughout our history, Lashings World has always been about much more than what happens in the middle. Yes, we bring some of the biggest names in cricket to clubs and communities across the country. Yes, there is plenty of entertainment along the way. But the ability to use those occasions to raise money, create awareness and support brilliant causes is something we are incredibly proud of.

And The Big Buzz 26 was a perfect example.

The Bee-lieve Foundation works to support the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children and young people, helping equip them with the knowledge, skills and strategies they need to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and resilience. On Sunday 6 September, the Bee-lieve XI took on the Lashings World XI at The Sports Ground in Guildford in a T20 match that brought together former international cricketers, local players, businesses, families and supporters for one unforgettable day. Among the cricketing names involved were Saqlain Mushtaq, Saj Mahmood, Adam Hollioake and Monty Panesar, while the wider event combined the match with family entertainment, hospitality and fundraising for the Foundation.

It was cricket with a purpose, and one of those days that reminded all of us why we do what we do.

What a season

The Bee-lieve fixture brought the curtain down on another fantastic summer on the road for the Lashings World XI.

From the first ball of the season to the final over, we have travelled the country bringing together cricketing legends, clubs, sponsors, charities, businesses and supporters. There have been packed grounds, brilliant hospitality, plenty of laughs, competitive cricket and some unforgettable moments along the way. Most importantly, each fixture has been about creating something bigger than simply a game of cricket. For the clubs we visit, a Lashings day can become one of the biggest dates in their calendar. For sponsors and businesses, it creates an opportunity to entertain and connect in a completely different environment. And for the charities and community organisations involved, it provides a platform to tell their story and raise vital funds. That combination is what makes a Lashings World cricket day different.

As our Managing Director Dave Fitzgerald reflected at the end of the season, the Lashings experience has continued to evolve; becoming increasingly polished and professional while retaining the human touch that sits at the heart of the organisation. And that is something we are immensely proud of.

To everyone who made 2026 possible: thank you

A cricket tour like this doesn’t happen because of one team on the pitch. It happens because of the extraordinary network of people surrounding it. To our players, hosts, events team and wider Lashings family: thank you. To every cricket club that opened its doors to us: thank you. To the businesses, sponsors and partners who supported our events throughout the summer: thank you.

To every charity and community organisation that trusted us to become part of its story: thank you. And to every person who bought a ticket, booked a table, donated, bid in an auction, cheered from the boundary or simply came along and enjoyed the day; thank you for being part of it.

Forty years into the Lashings story, bringing great names in sport together with great causes remains at the heart of what we do. Lashings World has now raised more than £1 million for charities and communities across the UK, and every event gives us another opportunity to build on that legacy.
